Woodbury Litchfield Hills Foxhounds
The Woodbury Litchfield Hills Foxhounds uses artificial fox scent to follow hounds in pursuit of their quarry. We are a sport of chase with ladies and gentlemen dressed in formal hunting clothing that is reminiscent of attire worn more than 100 years ago.

We will be following hounds at a fair hunting pace along a prescribed dragline through the most beautiful countryside in Connecticut. There is rolling farmland, picturesque meadows, woodlands, streams, stonewalls and hilltop views of the Litchfield Hills. There will be well-placed jumps of coops, post and rail, stonewalls and gates throughout the dragline that will be approximately 2'6" in height, with a go around at every fence.

It is important to have a horse that is well groomed and hunting fit. There will be numerous checkpoints during the course of the hunt where horse and rider can relax. Your horse must have a current negative coggins test.

The capping donation is $75 for adults and $50 for juniors under 18. The capping donation should be sent to the Hunt Secretary prior to the meet. Following hunting etiquette, riders will greet the Hunt Secretary and the Hunt Staff so they are aware of your prescence. Hounds will move off prompty at the fixed time.
All riders must wear a safety helmet approved by the ASTM with harness. Black velvet covers should be worn over smooth safety helmets.
